1、 product introduction
grt-1090 is an aromatic polyurea elastomer coating with 100% solid content. component a is isocyanate component and component b is polyether component. the product is designed to be used in waterproof, wear-resistant and anti-skid occasions such as bridge deck, and complies with gbt23446-2009 national standard ii index. grt-1090 is suitable for the application of heated two-component equipment, which can realize rapid film forming without any solvent. grt-1090 is able to gel quickly without worrying about bubbling or coating. grt-1090 is directly used for outdoor exposure.
2、 basic use
grt-1090 is designed for waterproofing of horizontal or vertical base materials of various buildings, including roof waterproofing, underground waterproofing, etc. it is widely used for priming steel, concrete, wood, glass fiber, geotextile and foam substrate. grt-1090 can obtain rough surface by construction to achieve anti-skid effect. in areas where color stability is a major requirement, uv resistant aliphatic topcoat must be used.

4、 surface treatment
grt-1090 shall be used on pre treated and primed substrates.
grt-1090 uses 1:1 ratio of two-component polyurea spraying equipment construction, there are a variety of suitable models and manufacturers. please refer to the document entitled two component painting equipment for design and operation recommendations.
when the ambient temperature is lower than 4 ℃ or more than 38 ℃, or when it rains within half an hour of construction time and the relative humidity exceeds 90%, please do not carry out construction.
the usage rate and dry film thickness can be determined according to the specific engineering requirements. the versatility of grt-1090 enables engineers to solve multiple protection problems of various substrates with different dry film thickness and one layer of coating. for detailed engineering advice, please contact the company's technical service department. coating rate, in theory, 1 kg of grt-1090, can be applied to 1 square meter of substrate 1 mm, but to consider the actual loss, the general loss rate is 20%.
for typical construction environment, the following dry film thickness is for reference only:
slight wear - dry or soaked
moderate wear - dry or soaked
severe wear - dry or soaked
grt-1090 can form film at one time to reach the design thickness. most of the dry film thickness requirements can be met by one or two construction. super thick dry
the thickness of the membrane needs to be completed for the third or more times. due to the different construction method, construction site and surrounding environment, the amount of coating required to meet the specified dry film thickness will be different. grt-1090 coating can be applied after each layer of coating reaches surface dry. all expansion joints and casting reserved joints need to be sealed with matching sealant. all the internal and external corners and visible joints on the base surface need to be treated separately before spraying. all surfaces shall be uniformly sprayed and free from holiday, pinhole and bulge. when spraying polyurea on rough or other surfaces with holes, the company's primer or equivalent product shall be used to repair the holes in advance. during the construction of grt-1090, regular inspection shall be carried out to ensure that all surfaces are uniformly sprayed, and there are no areas of leakage, holes, blistering and insufficient thickness. any areas that do not meet the requirements shall be re sprayed within 48 hours of the initial construction. the grt-1090 is available in standard beige. customers can also choose colors according to the needs of the project. a kind of manual construction material is required for small-scale repair, and grt-1308 can be used. in order to obtain better mechanical adhesion, the repaired surface needs to be roughened by mechanical grinding. steel wheel, wire brush, coarse sandpaper or similar methods can be used. remove other contaminants such as dust and other contaminants on the surface, and scrub the surface with butanone. then, the two components of grt-1308 are fully mixed and constructed in the repair area. apply the repair material several times until the thickness is equal to or higher than the thickness of the existing coating, so that the edge of the repair material gradually decreases from the edge of the existing coating.
the components of grt-1090 must be adequately sealed to avoid moisture before chemical action. after the raw material barrel is opened, if the remaining components do not continue to be used, the barrel should be filled with nitrogen or dry air and sealed to protect the components from moisture pollution. although the grt-1090 is not affected by the presence of slight moisture, it is recommended that the surface be dry to achieve good results. use only in a well ventilated area. avoid inhaling vapor or spraying aerosol. for outdoor construction, operators and accessories personnel must wear msha / niosh approved activated carbon respirator. for indoor construction, air mask or positive pressure mask shall be worn. avoid contact with eyes and skin.
